House Captain Series - Charlotte Edwards

Charlotte Marie Edwards was born in Huntingdon on December 17,1979. She grew up on a farm with her loving family: her brother David, her mum Yvonne and her father Clive. Charlotte started playing cricket with her brother and it grew from that she broke a world scoring record before her 18 birthday she played for many teams, Kent, Hampshire, Southern Vipers and even some teams in Australia. Edwards became the first woman to be appointed to the world cricket committee and she received several awards including winning the 2009 1cc women’s world Twenty20. Later (may 2016) she retired from international cricket and finally from all cricket (September 2017). I am sure you will agree that this incredible woman has had a successful career and is an inspirational figure to be proud of.
